Description: This project involved the recladding of a home originally built in 1998, resolving issues related to leaky building problems, particularly around deck areas. Additionally, the renovation included a bedroom extension, new entry construction, and a full interior refurbishment.
Renovation: Recladding with 230mm bevelback timber weatherboards, painted in Resene Sonyx Paint. Removal and rebuilding of the lounge deck structure to resolve waterproofing issues. New 100mm threshold between deck waterproofing and internal floor level. Floating deck installation, metal cap flashings for handrails. Improved drainage by installing external gutters for the roof and lounge decks. Extended lower-level bedrooms by removing a small walkway. Covered front entry and upgraded insulation, with new double-glazed joinery.
Interior : Complete kitchen refurbishment. New carpet installed throughout the home. Full internal repaint.
Special Fetures: Reclad in weatherboards for enhanced durability. Floating deck to maintain deck level matching the internal floor. Double-glazed joinery for improved insulation.
